Cuddle Jam – the perfect way to stay warm during the cold, dark season.

Always from 3:30–6:00 p.m., arrive at 3:15 p.m., Cuddle Jam intro for newbies: 3:00 p.m.

Cuddle Jam is for you if you’re looking for calm, non-sexual physical closeness and want to touch and be touched consensually. You can experience slow, non-sexual affection and coziness. At the Cuddle Jam, you can unwind and just be cozy. You’re in control at all times of how long you stay in contact; you can get up, move around, or lie down alone whenever you want. We’ll also practice this together at the start of each session. 🙂

Every Jam begins with a brief check-in. Afterward, there’s an opportunity to explore interaction and (nonverbal) consent. After a short break, we’ll move on to free cuddling (the „jam“ part :)). I’ll also be part of the jam, but I’m always available to talk to and can step in if needed. At the end, I’ll gently guide us all out of the jam together. After a moment of grounding on your own, there’s an opportunity to share your experience in a closing circle with the group—but this isn’t required.

Please come dressed in comfortable, relaxed clothing; please do not wear strong-smelling perfumes or heavy jewelry. At the beginning, you can set aside any items that might be distracting. Soft, calming music will be playing in the background. Tea and water will be available. Feel free to bring anything that helps you relax, such as your favorite stuffed animal, a cozy blanket, or a fluffy sweater.

There will be a maximum of 15 participants.

If it is your first time, please arrive at 3:00 p.m. for a brief introduction to Cuddle Jam etiquette 😉.

My events are queer–centered but open to everyone. Queer–centered means focusing on the well–being of all people whose gender identities, romantic, and/or sexual orientations do not conform to the „mainstream“ and who identify, for example, under the umbrella term LGBTIQA+: lesbian, gay, bi, pan, trans*, non-binary, genderqueer, gender-fluid, queer, questioning, inter*, asexual, aromantic, agender…

I kindly ask participants to check if they can recognize their own boundaries and those of others—in other words, to treat one another with care. I assume that you have already given some thought to the diversity of identities and social power dynamics and have a basic understanding of consensus. My understanding of consent draws, among other things, on Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent (https://bettymartin.org/) and Kai Cheng Thom’s concept of Loving Justice (https://ariseembodiment.org/).

If you’re not sure whether the Cuddle Jam is right for you or need a little more information to help you decide, feel free to contact me directly at hey@jespajacobsmith.com

I look forward to seeing you!
